Sony WF-1000XM5 Headphones Price in India
The Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones have launched in India at a price of Rs 24,990, but you have the option of getting a cashback of Rs 3,000 on select debit cards. Those who order the new headphones will also receive the SRS-XB100 speaker for free. Sony will start selling the WF-1000XM5 headphones through various channels from October 15.
Features of the Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones
Sony claims the new WF-1000XM5 are 25 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter than the XM4 headphones. The company has tweaked the design of the buds to reduce the in-ear footprint and provide a stable fit, which it claims reduces ear pressure. Sony noted that the company uses multiple processors for its famous active noise cancellation, which is now even better at handling noise on airplanes, subways, and more.
The V2 and QN2e chips are the backbone of Sony’s in-ear headphones that provide premium sound quality, help with noise cancellation and ensure low power consumption. The company has also gone from two microphones in each bud to three with a new design that also dampens noise.
Talking about the XM5’s noise cancellation, Sony mentioned that the new headphones offer 20 percent more ANC than the WF-XM4, which can only be confirmed once we get to use the headphones. The company has also improved the shape of the ear tips, which focuses on an individual fit for each user.
Head gestures have an interesting feature that lets you control the music or change the volume. In terms of durability, the XM5 earbuds receive an IPX4 rating, but the charging case doesn’t have IP protection, which isn’t ideal for a premium product. Sony claims the XM5’s battery life is the same as its predecessor, but charging speeds have increased slightly.
